1. Scope
1.1. These house rules are rules of use. They apply to all persons present in the Rockhouse, especially visitors. They are obliged to comply with the provisions of these house rules.
The house and operating regulations cover all rooms of the Rockhouse as well as the associated outdoor areas. They govern the conditions for staying on the premises and the conduct of persons not employed by the venue.
2. Stay on the premises
2.1. Access to the generally accessible rooms of the Rockhouse is permitted in principle only to authorized persons during opening hours.
2.2. Event rooms (large event hall and foyer) as well as side rooms may only be entered outside event times, set-up and tear-down times, as well as rehearsals and guided tours, by persons belonging to the venue.
2.3. Events may only be attended by persons who meet the attendance requirements stipulated by the organizer (e.g. possession of an admission ticket, an invitation or similar).
2.4. Event staff are entitled to request an official photo ID to verify age.
2.5. Access to artist dressing rooms and backstage areas is permitted exclusively to the artists themselves and to persons working there in an official capacity.
3. Conduct in the Rockhouse
3.1. All persons entering the Rockhouse must conduct themselves in such a way that no one else is harmed, endangered, obstructed or disturbed. The rules of good conduct and appropriate behaviour apply.
3.2. The instructions of Rockhouse staff, event staff and the security and order service must be followed without exception. Persons who do not comply with these instructions may be removed from the premises.
3.3. The organizer exercises house rights in all rooms of the Rockhouse. The instructions of the staff must be followed in particular when they are issued for reasons of safety, health or youth protection, order, or the proper running of the event.
3.4. Violations of the house rules will be punished in accordance with the relevant civil law provisions, unless they are subject to criminal prosecution.
3.5. Escape routes, exits, passages and stairwells must not be blocked and must always be kept clear of any obstruction.
3.6. Distribution of advertising material, affixing stickers or other promotional activities are only permitted with prior authorization.
3.7. All relevant legal provisions apply, especially the protective provisions of the Salzburg Youth Protection Act. In addition, the Rockhouse or the organizer is entitled, within the scope of house rights, to take further organizational measures for reasons of safety, health protection and noise protection. Additional information on attending concerts with children and young people is published on www.rockhouse.at and forms part of the house rules.
4. Prohibitions and checks
4.1. Rockhouse staff, event staff and the security and order service are instructed to take the necessary measures to establish and maintain safety in the premises. They are entitled to refuse admission or issue an eviction.
This applies in particular in situations involving special risks, such as high volume, sensory overload, increased audience density or event-specific situations, also with regard to children and young people.
4.2. To ensure safety, the persons named are entitled to check visitors to determine whether they pose a security risk due to alcohol or drug consumption or because they are carrying weapons, dangerous objects or objects that present a fire hazard. With the consent of the person concerned, clothing as well as any containers and bags carried may be checked. Persons who pose a risk to safety may be turned away and prevented from entering the premises.
4.4. Persons who cause disturbances before or during an event or who, through their conduct or condition, give rise to justified annoyance may be asked to leave the Rockhouse. The corresponding instructions of the staff must be followed.
4.5. Wearing or carrying extremist, racist, discriminatory or unconstitutional symbols or content is prohibited.
4.6. Bringing glass containers, cans, pyrotechnic items, torches, sticks, umbrellas, banners, weapons of any kind, as well as other dangerous objects, is prohibited. Mobile phones must be switched off for the entire duration of the event.
4.7. Coats, backpacks, bags up to DIN A4 size and similar items are not permitted in the event rooms and must be left at the cloakroom.
4.8. Animals of any kind may not be brought into the Rockhouse.
4.9. The statutory smoking ban must be observed in all event areas of the Rockhouse.
5. Audio and video recordings
At events in the Rockhouse, photo, film and video recordings may be made. By entering the event rooms, the visitor agrees that image and sound recordings in which he/she is recognisable may be used for the purpose of documenting the event as well as for the Rockhouse's public relations work (e.g. website, social media, print media).
The processing of the recordings takes place in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations on the basis of the organizer's legitimate interest. Personal recordings of individual persons are avoided where possible. Visitors have the right to object to the recording and use of images of themselves on a case-by-case basis. In this case, the event staff on site must be informed.
The making and publishing of audio and/or video recordings by visitors - including for private purposes - is prohibited.
6. Liability
6.1. Any person entering the premises of the Rockhouse acknowledges that they are present there at their own risk. The Rockhouse accepts no liability for risks assumed, dangers, including personal injury, damage to or loss of private property, or other incidents resulting from visiting the premises, regardless of whether these occur before, during or after an event.
6.2. Visitors acknowledge that events at the Rockhouse may involve increased volume, light exposure and sensory stimulation, and are responsible for their own personal health suitability as well as for any children they bring with them.
6.3. The Rockhouse accepts no liability for any property damage or personal injury that may occur - in particular for possible hearing damage. The use of hearing protection is recommended. Hearing protection is available free of charge at the box office.
6.4. For damage caused by organizers, event participants or visitors, the relevant criminal and civil law provisions apply - unless separate agreements have been made.
6.5. Accidents or damage must be reported immediately.
6.6. In the event of interruption or cancellation of events for safety reasons or due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to compensation or to the continuation of the event.
6.7. Cloakroom items and items left there are only covered if handed in at the cloakroom and against a cloakroom ticket. No liability is accepted for valuables left in the cloakroom or in clothing (e.g. money, ID cards, keys, mobile phones, electronic devices).
6.8. The respective current statutory protection and safety regulations (e.g. health regulations) must be observed by visitors.
7. Final provisions:
Additional event-related rules (e.g. notices, website information) specify these house rules and take precedence over them in individual cases.
The point of contact on site is the event staff or event management.

Children under 3 years
Attendance at concerts is not permitted for children under 3 years of age - even when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Reason: high volume and sensory stimulation, risk to health.
Children from 3 to 6 years
Concert attendance only when accompanied by a responsible adult. Wearing hearing protection is mandatory (e.g. earmuff-style hearing protection). The organizer reserves the right to refuse admission if protection is inadequate.
Children and young people from 7 to 13 years
Admission only when accompanied by a responsible adult. Hearing protection is strongly recommended, especially at louder events (rock, metal, electronic etc.). Stay is not time-limited as long as accompaniment is ensured.
Young people from 14 to 15 years
May attend concerts without accompaniment until 11:00 pm. Longer stays only with an accompanying person.
Hearing protection is recommended.
Young people from 16 to 17 years
May attend concerts without accompaniment until 1:00 am. Hearing protection is strongly recommended depending on the volume.
Important information
Parents and accompanying persons are responsible for the child's wellbeing throughout the entire event.
At particularly loud concerts or indoor events with over 90 dB, hearing damage can also occur for teenagers - we therefore generally recommend that all visitors under 18 use hearing protection.
The organizer reserves the right to exercise house rights in the event of imminent danger, non-compliance with the age regulations or lack of hearing protection.
