Earth Ship (GER)

Ever since their inception in 2010, Berlin 3-piece EARTH SHIP have built their reputation in the vast feld of the stoner / doom / sludge underground scene as one of the most relentless and heavy-hitting live bands out there. With their thunderous blend of sludgy riffs, bluesy leads, virulent vocals and a massive dose of both groove and humour, vocalist Jan Oberg, his wife Sabine (bass) and Sebastian Grimberg (drums) have taken EARTH SHIP to the stages of Desertfest, Into the Void, Stoned From The Underground, Freak Valley or Pelagic Fest, and tours with bands like RED FANG, TORCHE, CROWBAR, LORD DYING or VOIVOD. After 3 albums on Pelagic, the band signed with NAPALMRECORDS for the release of 4th studio album „Hollowed“ in 2016. But the alliance didn't last long, and the band returned to our welcoming arms here at Pelagic for album #5: Resonant Sun.

ormed in 2016 and featuring members of Empty Vision, Downfall of Gaia and King Apathy, the Hanover based band have consolidated their efforts into a hard hitting and concise body of work. Their first EP 1417, which was released in late 2017, provided close to 15 vigorous minutes of aggressiv and atmospheric charm. This was merely a taste of what was to come. Heavier and more intense than their previous offering, their debutalbum Dissolution Of Balance, which was released in February 2020, took a consistent approach musically, lyrically and visually. From the outset you can tell that there is more on offer here than your standard hardcore record. Appealing to fans of All Pigs Must Die, Rise And Fall, Trap Them and The Hope Conspiracy, it skillfully fuses punk sensibility with metal persuasion. David Deutsch/1408 Productions (Spirit Crusher, Angst, The Hirsch Effekt) captured the sonic excellence at Waveland Studio in Hanover and mastering was performed by Alan Douches at West West Side in New York, USA (Baroness, Black Breath, Mastodon).
