Xtra Ordinary Vol. 29 – Hit macht Fit

We present the new Xtra Ordinary sampler edition as a gym bag.

Xtra Ordinary Vol. 29 offers the latest insight into Salzburg’s vibrant regional music production. The compilation includes 40 songs by acts working across different fields between pop, indie, electronica, rock, and experimental music — not as mere stylistic flourishes, but as expressions of highly distinct artistic positions.

For this edition, we’ve turned the sampler into a physical format that is as practical as it is unusual: a limited gym bag (drawstring bag) with an individual download code that gives access to all tracks. With this release, Xtra Ordinary continues its tradition of choosing a different outer form each year for the scene’s sonic diversity.

The new sampler is available in a small edition. Production was handled by Rockhouse managing director Wolfgang Descho, mastering was once again done by Wolfgang Schramml at Sonic Flow Studio, and the artwork is by the agency Christian Salic. The project is supported by the City of Salzburg.
