All about the Event

ITCHY

What started on July 13, 2001 in Eislingen an der Fils as a teenage band has today become one of Germany’s most enduring, successful and, at the same time, most likeable punk rock institutions.

With boundless energy, plenty of humor and an unmistakable feel for big melodies, ITCHY played their way from the first youth center shows to the big stages across Europe.

Early on, Sibbi, Panzer and Max made the uncompromising decision to go their own way: without huge marketing budgets, but with tireless work, seemingly endless joy in playing and a loyal fan community behind them. Over the years, the three-piece grew into an impressive live phenomenon: well over 1,000 concerts in more than 20 countries and a reputation for shows that are precise, rousing, humorous and emotional in equal measure. The band pulls off the rare balancing act between punk rock attitude, melodic catchiness and a clear stance on social and political issues.

Musically, ITCHY kept evolving, releasing new records at regular intervals and creating anthems that have long since become a fixed part of the German music landscape.

Just in time for the anniversary, the red carpet is now being rolled out for the 10th studio album Happy Little Accidents, and it shows that the band sees its first quarter-century more as a relaxed warm-up. Since forming in 2001, ITCHY have stood for high-energy songs with big melodies and a clear stance, and the new album, too, brims with raw sound somewhere between punk rock and alternative.

Despite the long band history, ITCHY have never stood still. Instead of nostalgia, a strong drive forward has always dominated: new songs, new tours, two books, their own podcast, an ever-growing audience. What has remained is the unconditional belief that music can bring people together — and that you are allowed to stand up for your convictions loudly and without compromise.

In 2026, the band celebrates its 25th anniversary. A milestone that underlines the exceptional consistency and authenticity of this trio. ITCHY stand for lived DIY spirit, great passion and the simple, often forgotten truth:

"At the end of every day, we’re three friends trying to make music — and not three musicians trying to be friends."

RAT BOY

What began in the suburbs of Essex as a loose music project has, over the years, developed into one of the most distinctive acts on the British indie scene.

For a long time, RAT BOY was more of an idea than a clearly defined band — a project around Jordan Cardy that never really fit into any one box. Somewhere between indie, hip-hop and ska-punk, a sound emerged that is playful and deliberately imperfect.

As their profile grew, so did tours across Europe, the USA and as far as Japan. Whether in a small club or on a big festival stage like Coachella, RAT BOY have made their name above all live: full of energy, spontaneous, chaotic.

A decisive step came in 2023: the project finally became a band. Together with his long-time companions, Cardy continued to develop RAT BOY — away from the solo thing and toward a real collective in which everyone contributes their part.

The current album SUBURBIA CALLING stands exactly for this new chapter. Content-wise, everything revolves around their origins: Essex as a place between suburban everyday life and creative freedom. Musically, they draw on British influences without tying themselves down to them. Like Blur, The Specials and The Clash, but always with their own signature.

Success has changed none of that: RAT BOY are above all a tight-knit team that lives off friendship and shared energy.
And it is precisely that easygoing spirit that defines their music.
