Three years after their celebrated album “Unbesiegbar,” SONDASCHULE are back with a new record.

After reaching No. 2 in the album charts, three fully sold-out tours in a row through the biggest clubs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as prominent slots at the country’s biggest festivals, you could say the six musicians from the Ruhr area have achieved what they always dreamed of. But the triumphal run was overshadowed in 2021 by a heavy loss: shortly before the release of “Unbesiegbar,” founding member and guitarist Daniel “Blubbi” Junker died completely unexpectedly. A turning point that shook the band, but also shaped them.
