STEAMING SATELLITES

After years on stage, countless festival appearances and several acclaimed albums, Steaming Satellites have long since become one of the fixed stars of Austria's music scene.
With their unmistakable sound somewhere between indie rock, psychedelia and a touch of electronic expansiveness, the band has built up a loyal fanbase — not only in the German-speaking world, but far beyond it.

Since their debut album “Neurotic Handshake at the Local Clown Party” (2006), Steaming Satellites have toured across Europe and the USA.
Their music has not only been celebrated on the charts, but has also made its way into film, for example with the song “How Dare You!” on the soundtrack to the award-winning film “Das finstere Tal”.

On their latest album “ANDROMEDA”, the band around singer-songwriter Max Borchardt devoted itself to a love of Motown, resulting in an emotionally thrilling, genre-spanning potpourri.

YATWA

YATWA, Vienna's best-known unknown rock band, is a live act you really should catch at least once. At least if you’re into gripping, high-energy rock. There would certainly have been plenty of chances in recent years, because the trio around singer Valentin Seißler has steadily evolved into one of Austria's best live rock bands.

After releasing their first two studio albums “Katauna Kata” and “Parallel Lines II”, the band is now working on its third record. Stylistically, they continue to move between lovingly arranged garage rock, new wave and post-punk; lyrically, between self-doubt and Chihuahua fandom.

At YATWA gigs, all of that mixes into an unpredictable blend of big feelings, eccentricity and: fun. YATWA play every show like it’s their last.
